Behind the Lens: Bringing Millaé Intimates to Life
There’s something truly magical about seeing a dream take shape. Our very first photoshoot for Millaé Intimates was one of those moments where everything - the light, the space, the energy - felt just right.
We were in a Sydney studio that I loved from the moment I saw it: bright, minimal, with large windows that let the sunlight pour in and painted brick walls that added just the right touch of texture. It was the perfect canvas for the soft, flowing fabrics of our bridal intimates collection.
The day began with hair and makeup, steaming garments, and gentle planning with our photographer and behind-the-scenes content creator. Music filled the studio, laughter floated in the air, and slowly the energy of the morning began to shape the day. The sun streamed in through the windows, casting playful shadows that danced across the room - a natural spotlight on each delicate piece.
And then there was Oliva, our model, the embodiment of a Millaé bride - graceful, radiant, and effortlessly joyful. Watching her move through the garments, feeling the energy she brought into the studio, made everything I had imagined feel real.
Working with a dream team of industry professionals and friends helping with hair, makeup, and prep, the day unfolded smoothly. I’ll admit, I felt a little nervous at first but the moment the first images appeared on the monitor, all those nerves melted away. The vision I’d held for the brand was finally tangible: quiet, intimate moments, effortless elegance, and the subtle beauty of every garment shining through.
By the end of the day, it felt less like a photoshoot and more like sharing a secret world with our brides-to-be - a space where romance, sophistication, and intimacy exist in every fold of fabric, every sunlit shadow, every captured smile.
This first shoot was the beginning of the Millaé story, and seeing it unfold was a reminder of why I started this journey: to create timeless, modern bridal sleepwear that feels both aspirational and entirely personal.
